Our story
We are a family business combining a strong educational and travel background together with vast experience of planning and leading school tours.
Our simple founding principle is that the best school tours are built on genuine expertise, personal relationships, and an obsession with getting every detail right.
TCBC began in 2005, born out of a chance meeting in St Petersburg and a passion for bringing students face-to-face with the subjects they were studying in the classroom.
21 years later, we have grown from a single niche destination to operate across 50 destinations worldwide and have been recognised as the Best School Tour Operator in the UK at the 2025 School Travel Awards.
We make every effort to visit schools and meet teachers in person, and we stay involved from your first contact with us through to the moment your group arrives home. You'll deal with the same people throughout - people who know your tour, understand your objectives, and genuinely care about the outcome.

TCBC Educational Advisor
School tours are first and foremost educational experiences. It's important that your tour meets your learning objectives and relates to your curriculum. TCBC School Tours works closely with our Educational Advisor, Stephanie Pinder, to provide you with detailed and relevant curriculum links.
Stephanie is perfectly placed to help TCBC with the educational content of our tours. A history and government and politics teacher for 13 years with masters in Education and Public History for museums and galleries, Stephanie is passionate about teaching, travel and writing. She has previously worked with BBC History magazine, the National Gallery, and the United States Navy Museum. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Oxford and Princeton.
Even better, in her capacity as a teacher, Stephanie has led a number of tours with TCBC over the years, acting as Group Leader on trips to Berlin, Washington DC and Moscow and St Petersburg.
Stephanie advises and guides TCBC on the curriculum, on the relevance of our tours to the courses being taught and regularly keeps on top of changes to syllabuses. She enjoys creating bespoke plans matching schools with the best activities and attractions, often suggesting new and interesting visits that crop up from her research.
