- Day
Day 1 - Welcome to Barcelona, Montjuïc Castle
Touch down in Barcelona, the heart of Catalonia! As you make your way to your accommodation, you'll stop at the legendary Montjuïc Castle, a fortress with a rich history of both defence and drama. Hop on the cable car and soar above the city for breathtaking 360° views—an experience that will leave you speechless. Imagine the stories of Carlos Ruiz Zafón’s Cemetery of Forgotten Books as you stand where history and fiction collide.
Kick off your evening with a dazzling flamenco show, where the rhythms of Spain will ignite your spirit!
Day 2 - Guided Walking Tour and Sagrada Familia
This morning, it's time for the first of your two language lessons. Begin your day at our carefully selected Barcelona language school. Language groups can take classes tailored to their focus and abilities under the guidance of expert instructors. Classes can be adapted for any interest, age, or capability.
This afternoon, you’ll embark on an exciting guided walking tour through the heart of Barcelona. Wander through the modernist wonders of the Eixample district and marvel at Gaudí’s masterpieces, such as La Pedrera and Casa Batlló—two of Barcelona’s most renowned Gaudí buildings. Explore old town Barcelona: walk down La Rambla to the Port; see Plaza Real, and look up at the Columbus Monument, a 60-metre tall monument to Christopher Columbus, constructed in honour of his first voyage to the Americas.
Next up, visit the awe-inspiring Sagrada Familia, Gaudí's unfinished magnum opus. As you stand beneath its towering spires, you'll feel the magic of Barcelona's unique blend of Gothic and Art Nouveau styles.
This evening, explore the bustling La Boqueria market—taste the freshest produce, and experience the flavours of Barcelona like never before!
Day 3 - Full Day Amusement Park
Today, we will take you for a full day at an amusement park. You can choose between PortAventura, the biggest theme park in Spain and the third largest in Europe, or Tibidabo Amusement Park, which offers stunning views of Barcelona from above.
PortAventura Theme and Water Park offers students excitement and fun. The park is divided into six themed areas: the Mediterranean, Polynesia, China, Mexico, the Far West, and SésamoAventura, with more than forty entertainments every day and authentic recreations of these different worlds.
Day 4 - Park Güell and Fly Home
Check out from your hotel and head over to the language school for the second of your Spanish courses in Barcelona. Consolidate your learning from yesterday and expand your vocabulary with new topics. At lunch, put your new skills to the test in Barcelona’s busy shopping streets.
Wrap up your Barcelona adventure at the iconic Park Güell, another masterpiece by Gaudí. Wander through this whimsical park filled with colourful mosaics, imaginative sculptures, and unbeatable views of the city, recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Enjoy a stroll along shady paths surrounded by colourful architectural and decorative elements of unusual shapes. Beautiful panoramic views of Barcelona are visible from the park's terrace.
