- Day
Day 1 - Arrive Tallinn
Fly to Tallinn and transfer to your hotel in the city centre by coach. Take in Lake Ülemiste and catch a glimpse of the historic Old Town as you drive in and relax before your first full day.
Day 2 - TalTech Centre Mektory, Tallinn University visit
This morning, explore Ülemiste City, a talent hub with representatives from 73 nations and a turnover of €2.3 billion. Start-ups, middle-sized businesses, and even large enterprises share co-working spaces and offices on this large and impressive site.
After lunch here, head to Tallinn University of Technology, or TalTech, and visit its School of Business and Governance. University students here can study Economics and Finance, Business Administration, or even join the Ragnar Nurske Department of Innovation. School groups can visit the museum here, with temporary exhibitions on salient issues such as e-waste, sustainability, and recycling. Staying on campus, head to TalTech Mektory, the university’s innovation centre where students can develop products for the businesses of tomorrow, including incredible self-driving cars.
Put all this theory and insight into good use, with a visit to Tehnopol Science and Business Park. More than 200 companies are sequestered here; you can see startups, scale-ups, and learn about their innovation services. With a huge range of food companies here too, and food trucks on campus in spring and summer, you might choose to eat here this evening, perhaps at the Pannkoogimaja Pancake House or Tehnopol Pizzakiosk.
Day 3 - Bank of Estonia Museum, Wise & Pipedrive visits
The day begins with a visit to the Eesti Pank Museum. Here students delve into the history of Estonian money and its central bank. Estonia’s development is intrinsically linked with the history of Eesti Pank, allowing students to understand the political and cultural impact businesses can have at a national level.
This afternoon, continue with the theme of currency with a Q&A at Wise, an incredible business focused on international transfers and “money without borders.” What was once an Estonian start-up, now has over 10 million active users and moves £100 billion annually.
Before going to dinner at one of the city's restaurants, there’s time to visit Pipedrive. This garage start-up designing CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software has grown into a global unicorn used by over 100,000 companies.
Day 4 - Tallinn Old Town
After learning about new businesses, it’s time to head into the Old Town with your expert TCBC guide.
Tallinn is a medieval city complete with walls dating back to the 13th century. Your guide will direct you through cobbled streets: Take in Middle Age Aida Street, the haunted Lühike Jalg, and visit Piiskopi Street to view both Toompea Castle, which houses the Estonian Parliament, and St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Estonia’s main Russian Orthodox cathedral.
Have a final lunch in the Old Town with free time for that final exploration or souvenir purchase.
From here, transfer by coach to the airport and fly home after an incredible trip.
