Familiarisation visits
As Group Leader it is important you feel comfortable and confident with the destination you are travelling to with your students.
We strongly recommend pre-tour familiarisation visits which are beneficial for many reasons. You can inspect accommodation and meet suppliers we use, for example, our local guides.
You will be able to review your itinerary to ensure its educational value and also gain a better understanding of how the itinerary will work, the location of various sites in relation to your accommodation and get to grips with the local public transportation.
Familiarising yourself with your chosen destination will also assist with your safety planning and completion of your risk assessment.
