Health and Safety

School trips are educational, fun and exciting, but it is important to make sure they are as safe as possible for you and your students.

TCBC has a robust Safety Management System, a copy of which is available on request. This document is intended to lay out clearly to all our clients, the safety systems in place for each component of our tours. It is read by our staff members and allows us to act with due diligence and care in consideration of all safety aspects when planning and running your tour.

We understand the need to assure you as our client that the trip you are about to embark on has been researched thoroughly, planned down to the finest detail and all consideration has been taken to ensure the safest tour possible.

A lot of work goes into this behind the scenes, including frequent inspection trips to make sure our suppliers adhere to our strict guidelines with regard to health and safety. We personally assess the working practices of those suppliers we use most often.

TCBC staff regularly accompany our tours - this is the best way to experience the service for ourselves. Where possible, we stay at the same accommodation we book for our groups, we travel on the same coaches, we eat at the same restaurants.

We also hand-pick our favourite guides from years of experience and we trust them implicitly with the most important thing of all - you. Our guides speak fluent English and know to take the very best care of you and your students. Depending on your destination, the guide will be with you throughout or just at key moments, for example pre-arranged sightseeing excursions.

I just wanted to thank you again for all your hard work and support with the trip. It was a real success – the kids really enjoyed it and I got some very nice emails from parents.
