When we first started TCBC in 2005, our dream was simple: to make school travel meaningful. We wanted students to go beyond the classroom — to see history, culture, and community come alive in real places, with real people.
Twenty years later, that same spirit still drives everything we do. Which is why, to celebrate two decades of TCBC, we knew this couldn’t just be about us. It had to be about the people who’ve stood by our side — the teachers and guides who’ve trusted us, travelled with us, and shaped what TCBC has become.
That’s how our 20th anniversary celebrations in Tallinn came to life. We invited 20 teachers and guides — some of our longest-standing partners — to join our team in the city that has been part of TCBC’s story since the very beginning.

A Celebration of Partnership
From the start, TCBC has never been just a school travel company. We’re a community built on trust, care, and shared values. Our anniversary trip reflected that. This was about saying thank you to the teachers who year after year choose TCBC for their customised school tours, and to the guides who welcome our students with knowledge, humour, and warmth.

In Tallinn, we laughed together, shared meals together, and experienced the very activities that students enjoy on our tours — from a hands-on pelmeni masterclass in the Old Town Square, to exploring historic palaces, to wandering through the cobbled streets of the Old Town. These weren’t just sightseeing moments; they were reminders of why we do what we do: to bring people together through discovery and experience.

Heart, History & Hope
Choosing Tallinn wasn’t just practical. This city is part of our DNA. For years it was home to our operations, our people, and our story. It’s where so many of our history school tours were designed and delivered. Even today, Tallinn is where old friendships remain strong and new ones begin.
Being there with our teachers and team felt like coming full circle. It was a chance to honour our past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future — together.

More Than Milestones
20 years is a milestone, yes. But more than that, it’s a testament to the people who’ve believed in us. To the students who’ve trusted us with their first adventures abroad. To the teachers who’ve seen the value of learning through travel. To the guides who’ve made history and culture come alive on our tours. And to the TCBC team, who put heart into every single journey.
This first chapter of our anniversary celebrations in Tallinn wasn’t about numbers or achievements. It was about people. And that’s exactly what school travel should always be about.
Here’s to the next 20 years of friendship, trust, and unforgettable journeys.
If you’re looking for a family-run school travel company that cares deeply about its staff, teachers, and the experiences it creates for students, we’d love to help you plan your next customised school tour.
